This is a class geared toward absolute beginners and folks with some capoeira experience. Drop-ins welcome and monthly registration is encouraged!

Fundamentals of Capoeira
In this first phase, students will focus on mastering the basic and foundational movements of Capoeira, including:
-Ginga: The fundamental swaying movement that forms the base of Capoeira.
-Basic kicks and dodges: Such as meia-lua de frente (crescent kick) and esquiva (basic dodge).
-Introductory self-defense techniques: Movements that emphasize awareness and reflexive responses.
This section aims to build strength, coordination, and confidence while laying the groundwork for integrating Capoeira’s movements into fluid sequences.
Additional Notes:
Workout attire: Comfortable workout clothing is recommended to allow for unrestricted movement during training.
This progression ensures a well-rounded introduction to Capoeira, blending martial techniques, acrobatics, and cultural traditions.
